If you are a resident of New York state who has a loan with us that is secured by a mortgage on residential property, you may be eligible for a forbearance (temporary suspension) of your monthly payments. In order to qualify for this forbearance, you must be able to demonstrate that you experienced financial hardship as a result of COVID-19 during the period from March 7, 2020 to the end of the pandemic in your area.

Qualified customers are eligible for a forbearance of their monthly payments for a period up to 180 days with the option to extend the forbearance for an additional 180 days if they can demonstrate continued financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.
